How it works
Three small things, never in your way.
Open Hovry when you want to. It asks nothing before your headache is saved, and nothing is required after.
See
Your city’s weather and sea-level pressure, now and over the next day, drawn as a calm, changing sky.
Record
One tap saves a headache straight away. Add where it hurts, how strong it is and a note, now or later.
Explore
Look back at your own entries on a calendar, each beside the weather when it started, when that was available.
Meet Hovry
Hovry is also a calm little cloud. It keeps you company while weather loads and settles in once your headache is saved. It never gives advice, never reacts to pressure, and rests completely still in Comfort Mode.
Today
Your city’s weather, drawn calmly.
Pick your city by name. Hovry shows its weather as a hand-drawn sky that follows the conditions and the time of day, with sea-level pressure beside it.
- Clear, cloud, rain, snow, fog, storms, day, twilight and night
- City search with Apple Maps; no location permission needed
- Older weather is marked as saved, and missing weather says so, never “stable”

Pressure outlook
Pressure, in plain words.
See how sea-level pressure has moved and how it’s forecast to change over the next 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours, with a simple chart.
- Explained in plain words, like “about average” or “falling a little”
- Forecasts from MET Norway, refreshed when you open the app
- Weather and pressure are shown separately
- Information to look at, never a warning or a prediction

Log a headache
One tap. Saved first.
When it starts, tap once. Your headache is written to your iPhone before Hovry asks anything else, even without a connection or weather.
- No questions, setup or sign-in standing in the way
- Works during setup too, with “I have a headache right now”
- End it when it’s over, or adjust the times later

Details, if you want them
Show where it hurts.
Tap the head portrait, front or back, to mark pain areas. Left and right always mean your own left and right.
- Forehead, temples, behind the eyes, top, back of the head, neck, whole head, other or not sure
- A 0–10 pain dial, or leave it unrecorded
- Describe it as a headache, a migraine or not sure, and add a note
- Short or tied hairstyle, and a plain list if you prefer

Journal
A calendar that doesn’t guess.
Every entry lives on a monthly calendar. Tap a day to see what you recorded and open any entry to change it or delete it.
- A day with no entry stays unknown, never “headache-free”
- Each entry keeps the weather from when it started, when that was available
- Edit details, times and notes whenever you like

Patterns
Your own patterns, over time.
See your recorded headaches beside the weather when each one started. It’s your record to explore, in your own way.
- Built only from your entries, on your iPhone
- Nothing is labelled a trigger, a cause or a forecast
- Weather that wasn’t available shows as “—”

Gentle check-ins
A neutral question, now and then.
Once you have some history, Hovry may occasionally ask how you felt the evening before. Answering is always optional.
- No headache, Had headache, Not sure, or Not now
- The question never mentions weather or pressure
- Turn check-ins off in Settings at any time

Comfort Mode
Stillness for harder days.
Turn on Comfort Mode and everything stops moving. Colours soften, and every screen stays just as useful, in the same place.
- The weather sky and the Hovry cloud rest completely still
- Follows your iPhone’s Reduce Motion setting
- Also pauses motion in Low Power Mode

Private by design
No account. Nothing to sign in to.
How you feel is personal, so Hovry keeps it on your iPhone.
Stays on your iPhone
Your journal is stored with iOS file protection and isn’t sent anywhere. It isn’t in device backups, so removing the app removes it.
Only your city leaves
City search goes to Apple Maps. Weather requests send your chosen city’s location to MET Norway, never your entries.
No ads, no analytics
No advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Delete everything from Settings whenever you like.

What Hovry isn’t
Hovry is a journal and weather companion, not medical advice. It doesn’t diagnose, predict headaches, recommend treatment, or say that weather caused anything. If you’re worried about your headaches, talk to a healthcare professional.
